Baseline Handgun
Baseline Handgun is a foundational course focused on building safe, efficient, and consistent handgun handling.
This course is designed for new, newer, or returning shooters who want to develop a solid base with their handgun. It is also the required entry point for those looking to attend more advanced LaRosa Training Services courses.
Instruction focuses on practical, repeatable skills that translate directly to real-world use. Students will spend the majority of the course on the line, working through structured drills with direct instructor guidance.
Topics Covered
- Efficient draw from the holster
- Sight alignment and sight picture
- Grip and stance fundamentals
- Throttle control and recoil management
- Reloading (emergency and administrative)
- Malfunction identification and clearing
- Target transitions
- Introduction to moving and shooting
Upon completion, students will have a clear understanding of how to safely and efficiently operate their handgun, along with a strong foundation to continue progressing in more advanced training.
Important Equipment Requirements
The firearm must be properly zeroed before arrival
All equipment must be safe and functional
Unsafe equipment or unsafe/negligent gun handling will result in immediate removal without refund
Eligibility & Legal Requirements
ALL students will undergo a background check before participation.
LaRosa Training Services courses are open only to United States law-abiding citizens. Failure to meet eligibility requirements will result in removal from the course without refund.
